Port Talbot Town head into the biggest game of the season against Carmarthen Town in the Quarter Final of the Welsh Cup high in confidence after a tasty win over high flying Bangor City at the GenQuip San Siro last Saturday. The Blues took all three points in an exciting game due to a Drew Fahiya brace and a solid defensive display. The Blues had suffered their first defeat since the new management team of Mark Jones, Paul  Reid and Wayne Goodridge arrived at the club when we went down to a single goal away to Newtown the week before. This looks like a minor blip as the squad have brought back credability to PTT. Since Jonah's arrival TNS, Aber, Carmarthen and Bangor have all failed to beat us in the WPL and we have also had one of the biggest nights at the San Siro for a few seasons when we knocked out Welsh Champions Llanelli in the last 16 of the Welsh Cup. Just as we were whispering 3 games from Europe quietly we got hit with another nightmare draw - away to the in form Old Gold in the quarters.

Coaches are being laid on for the club for Saturday's big game. Its the sort of occasion all Blues fans live for. Being the underdogs in the cup.  Kristian starting to keep it clean,Reeso in command at the back, top wack centre back Lee Surman on top of his game, Jurgs looking solid, Barrow - Bergs - Jonno - Rosey - Fahiya all match winning  sharp, Darren Davies and Gazza doing it in the middle. We might be against the odds but we will put on a show and the supporters will be at their ultra best. Its game on so lets bring it on. P-T-T,-A-F-C,  YOUR THE FOOTBALL CLUB FOR ME.

The number one unofficial website in Welsh football caught hold of Jonah, Lee John and Drew Fahiya to see what the vibe is ahead of Saturday's clash. The Blues boss told us 'It was a god game and we competed really well against a strong Bangor side. The back four were resolute once again and we were disappointed to concede an own goal so late. We created some good openings and we could have scored a few more. Drew was having a quiet game but he has taken the opportunites and he has scored a lot of important goals for the club and I think he is having an exceptional season for a raw novice.

'Saturday is going to be ever so difficult. They are the in form side in the WPL. They have won seven and drawn one  from their last  eight games. They are chasing Europe on two fronts as it looks like they can catch TNS. The Old Gold have a good cup tradition and they have the experiance to go all the way. I hope that we can take as many fans as possible to the game on Saturday and they can make a difference. Try and turn it into a home tie like we did in Neath. PTT is a good club and anyone whom writes us off knows nothing about the spirit of the soccer club.

'Liam is back from his holidays on Thursday but it looks like he is doubtful to start. Scott Evans is getting better with every game and the bench at the Blues is stronger now. Karl Lewis has arrived at the club and gone straight into it. Karl has come on in the last two games and looked combative in each match and has done a great job. I'm keen for training this week to prepare the boys. Its a super challenge in front of us and we do not want to let anyone down'.

Flying winger Lee John is working harder than ever at the club since Jonah's arrival and is starting to show the form that made him a semi pro international. This will be Lee's 3rd Welsh Cup quarter final with the Blues and he has also been doing some solid Port Talbot Town in the community work with Gareth Phillips and Port Talbot's favourite Bobby Ian Wozencroft.  Jonno told the Blue Skinned Beast 'i can't wait for Saturday. Its massive. The biggest game of the season. Since Jonah and Reidy arrived back we are getting to where we should be. Everyone is working hard and everyone is bouncing off each other. The confidence is back and that is why TNS, Carmarthen, Bangor and Llanelli have not beaten us. They are all top sides so its bound to have given us confidence.

'Newtown was disappointing bit it could have gone either way. Importantly the response against Bangor on Saturday was right. I felt we could have been more than 2 up after the first hour. We lost our balence slightly when Baz went off and they pushed us back but we defended well and they had no clear cut opportunites. We grinded out a result again and we were unfortunate to conced an own goal.

'Carmarthen are excellent on paper. They have got some great players. Guppy, Lee Hudgell, Nicky Palmer, Krissy Thomas, Paul Fowler, Sasha Walters to name a few. We do have a good history against the Old Gold and its a big local derby. I think the Blue fans have a big part to play. I hope that everyone can lift the boys during the game.

'The Soccer School is going really well. We had a good response once again and we had an excellent group with no trouble. Its great for Gazza and me to meet local youngsters in a football enviroment. We both really enjoy it. It was nice of John Hartson to come over the spend time with the kids. Fair do's to Ian the copper he has tremendous energy to put this type of thing on and it can only be positive for the soccer club and long may it continue'.

Drew Fahiya has now scored 17 goals in all competitons for the Blues this season. Not a bad return for a player in a new club and league. His pace has caused no end of problems for defences and his ability to put the ball in the back of the net hs won us many important matches. This is what the young Barry flyer had to tell us. 'It was a tough battle as you would have expected last Saturday. It was great to get a brace but I really should have had a hatrick. The penalty miss will not put me off mind. My hand will go straight up if there is a shoot out in the cup. Its a big game and I'm really up for it. I know Carmarthen are a decent side but if we play as we can there is no reason why we can't get a result. We need to fear nobody'.

Cheers Boys Iechyd Da!

'We will be running round the Sandfields with the Cup..............

22.01.08 Port Talbot Town remain unbeaten since the return of Mark Jones after a home draw with Aberystwyth and a superb away win at Connah's Quay Nomads last Saturday. The north Wales express once again leaves the GenQuip on Saturday as the Blues visit Prestatyn for the first time in the WPL. Its been a strange old season as 08/09. With there being  no Premier Cup places up for grabs and having lost to much ground in the WPL for a European place it is a time for consolidation. The transfer window has not proven to be as active as the Blues had hoped  but earlier this week PTT signed Gary Bansor a 6ft 4 centre back who is studying at Swansea University.

Drew Fahiya has further enhanced his reputation by setting up the Blues goal put away by Darren Davies against Aber and getting a brace in the 2-0 away win in Connah's Quay. The Blue Skinned Beast caught up with Blue gaffer Mark Jones and Darren Davies to see how things are going.

Jonah told us 'The boys were excellent in Connah's Quay. It was lonely old trip with few supporters and committee. The boys done it by themselves. Its a difficult place to go as Llanelli found out three weeks ago. I felt we deserved the win and the clean sheet. Christian did not have a shot to save.

'Drew has done well for his two goals though it was probably his worse game since I came back to the club. He has knack for scoring goals and I think that he will hit 20 goals by the end of the season. Darren Davies played well and it is giving us competition for places which is what we want.

'I would like to thank Gareth Phillips for all the help on Saturday as Reidy and Wayne were both unavailable due to work commitments.

'Blues are full strength for the trip to Prestatyn this weekend apart from Scott Evans who was very unlucky to get sent off in the last minute at Connah's Quay.

'I think that I am going to kill Scott Barrow in the next few weeks. As soon as I finish the team talk he puts that hideous music up full blast. Its awful. Even Mike the physio is threatening Beatles'.

Darren Davies the Blues midfielder is also the clubs Acadamy Director. Darren has been doing a quality job in the centre of the park since Jonah's arrival and has been doing well at Academy level. BSB asked the former Tottenham Hotspur pro about the north Wales trips, dressing room music and the Academy.

Davies told us 'It was a smash and grab at the Nomads on Saturday. It was not pretty to watch but we done the job. They won the toss and turned us around as they tried to take advantage of the heavy wind. It was hard to get out of our own half but we are not to be taken lightly on the counter with Jonno, Drew and Rosey's pace. In the second half they could not get us and make no bones about it this  was a great result for the boys.

'I'm looking forward to it Saturday. Prestatyn are still unbeaten at home but so were Rhyl when we went up there. Blues will be going up there looking to get something out of the game.

'I'm throughly enjoying the Academy and getting involved with the kids and the coaches. We are going down to Llanelii soon and we are hoping to take teams of all ages, 8's, 9's.10's, 11's 12's, 14's, 16's and get every one involved.

'We are holding a Education session on Sunday for young coaches for which I have high hopes. If any of the coaches want to do their C badge we should be able to set them on their way.

'I'm throughly enjoying playing in the middle again. I played their for Wales under 18's, Dover and Forrest Green and it is a position I am familiar with. Its only when I have been with clubs with no left sided players that I have played on the left.

'The music in the dressing room. Well lets just say it gets a little boring when you hear the same song for the 20th time. We could do with a change. I'm the oldest player in the squad and I would opt for some 80's and 90's selection or even some Rocky music- lol'.

Cheers lads, all the best up norf Saturday

Nice One Rosey Nice One Son, Nice One Rosey, Lets have another one

01.01.08 Blwyden Newydd Dda- Happy New Year to all visitors to the Port Talbot Town bible. You will always hear it here first when it comes to the Blues and boy have we got news for you. The most eagerly anticipated home game of the season, the lucrative festive derby, was called off in highly controversial circumstances on New Year's Day afternoon.

On a bank holiday when neither the Swans or the Bluebirds were playing, when neither the Blues or the Ospreys, Aberafan or Neath were chasing any eggs, when there was no sport on the Box, be it BBC, S4C, Sky or Setanta. On such a day when  we were the main event on the sporting calender when we could have showcased our facilities, game time atmosphere and most importantly the standard of play especially with the momentum of such a quality end to end 5 goal thriller at the Gnoll. On a day when the WPL had a golden opportunity to shine and exhibit its whole package, the WPL lost, it blew it, the WPL looked two bob, a waste of space. When you hear Blues saying bring back Robbo, bring back Nico - you may wonder why Neath are in such a Dyer financial predicament. PTT lost out on a five figure sum and a four figure gate and the WPL lost out on profile, supporters and potential benefactors.

On New Year's Day morning highly respected local referee Phil Southall - you know the man in the middle in last season's Welsh Cup Final came to the Genquip San Siro and did a full pitch inspection. Southall declared the pitch playable and said it was no harder than pitches in pre season or in April. The news at noon delighted players, directors, supporters, neutrals and everyone concerned with the game apart from the Neath contingent who raced to the San Siro on hearing the game was on and played the pantomine villains.

From the time of their hasty arrival it was obvious to evereyone that Neath lead by Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee did not want play the clash. Maybe they think they are going to strengthen in January and they do not have faith in their current squad, maybe it was Tweedle Dum was upset at being overlooked for the Manager's job at PTT, maybe it was Tweedle Dee whom was still upset at an incident in Wind Street or for the fact his brother did not set the world alight at PTT, maybe they were just spiteful, maybe they know nothing, maybe they are going bust, maybe they are going down, maybe they are going to move ground again next season, maybe they have lost respect in their own dressing room, maybe they do not  have a board, maybe it is time for them to go and let Neath prosper, maybe they have shot themselves in the foot once again maybe there are many more maybe's but one thing is for certain they have lost both friends and respect.

Tweedle Dumb, Tweedle Dee and what is left of their board press ganged inexperianced referee Brian James when he made his inspection. The pair of pantomine villains were behind James all the way and were heard screaming expressions such as 'You are having a laugh', 'Its dangerous', 'No chance'. 'Players safety' and 'Oh no its not' and 'Oh yes it is'. At one point Tweedle Dee put a key into the ground and Tweedle Dumb gestured furiously. Young Brian James decided that the pitch was unfit and precarious and went against Southall's decision before number one assessor Roger Gifford had arrived at the GenQuip. Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee shot off as soon as the ref's decision had gone their way back to the home of Welsh rugby delighted that their cunning plan had worked. No sport on New Year's Day. No showcase, no crediability, no entertainment, no festive derby, no gate money, meagre bar take. No Way!!!!

Some say that life was meant to try us  and the show must go on. Indeed, just 48 hours later PTT host the Green and Black's of Aberystwyth. Will the game be on? We are not expecting the same antics from Brian Coyne and his boys. They are in the top 6 and will want to play so we caught up with Blue Boss Mark Jones, Chairman Andrew Edwards, hitman Martin Rose and assistant manager Wayne Goodridge to see what the Blues are thinking. Jonah told us 'It was disappointing but you can't do nothing about it. We cannot cry over spilt milk and what will be will be. I was not there when he made his decision. I know that we all wanted to play and we were raring to go.

'Aber wil be smartin after their shock 5-2 loss to Haverfordwest. They will be right up for it. They are in the top 5 and and they wany to stay there. Blues are going to have to put in another big performance to keep our run going.

'We have targeted the players that we want and we have put in 7 day bids for a few players. I expect there to be 3 new faces by the end of the month'.

Chairman Eddie has been accused of only wanting the derby game on for the money by the Mourners. Andrew has always maintained that player safety is paramount and he called off a lucrative pre season friendly with the Swans this summer when he felt that the Genquip surface was not ready. The same could not be said of our brethren in Neath whom played their friendly on a dire surface. When the cap fits and that.

Anyhow this is what Chairman Eddie had to say 'So disappointed with how things panned out. We had an experianced match official and he said it was OK. Brian made his decision under pressure from Neath without even waiting for the advice of national referee's officer Roger Gifford. We were desperate to play. It was a golden opportunity to show the standard of the WPL, the ground, the atmosphere. We felt that it was no worse that the dry pitches in the summer. It is the most important and lucrative fixture of our season and we have lost thousands of pounds and frankly we need that finance in next year's budget.

'We are looking to strengthen during January. There is a buzz about the club again, the results performances and a last minute winner. The support in Neath was excellent and we can feel the confidence returning throughout  the club'.

Hitman Martin Rose scored a brace in Neath we asked the Pompey lad a few questions 'It was cracking atmosphere  in Neath. One of the best since I have been at the club. Singing all through the game. It was really enjoyable winning it so late just topped it off. We seem to be getting back to winning ways and we should turn it round in the second half of the season and start climbing the table.

'Jonah is a nice guy and has spoke to us all and told us what he expects. Everyone has responded. I think that we should have beaten TNS but they are still one of the best teams in the league so a point is not to be scoffed at. There is more confidence and everyone was disappointed that New year's Day was called off. All players like playing in front of big crowds and in derby games and with their being no other sport on it was all set up. We were told before we left that the game was 100% on so everyone was gutted. It did not seem any harder than pitches in April.

'Its great having Reidy back as he is a superb coach. I have both time and respect for the guy and we know what he wants form us. Wayne seems a good guy and he has a winning mentality. Everyone is responding and where as 6 weeks ago I thought that we need 5 or 6 new players I think that everyone is doing well. I think that we have grown as a team in the last few weeks.

'I know the dressing room music is contraversial but I will listen to anything. I think it is upbeat and the tempo gets me up for games. It is motivational and its fine by me.

'I definatly had the winner in Neath. Drew has not touched it. I'm aiming for 25 WPL goals this season'.

Wayne Goodridge has come back for his second spell at PTT this time as Jonah's assistant. PT Blues spoke briefly to Wayne about his second coming and whether he had settled Goody told us 'Its very good to be back. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed it after being out of the game for a while. Jonah is a good manager who encourages the players, Reidy is an experianced pro and its easy to see his class and I know this league inside out from my playing days. I think that we can work as a team and take the club forward. The supporters have reacted postively to my return and its going to be an interesting month ahead'.

28.12.08 Port Talbot Town prevailed in a five goal thriller with Neath at the Gnoll on Boxing Day with the decisive winning goal coming in the final minute of the game triggering wild celebrations in the main stand. The away win easied any relegations fears and Blues fans were talking about consistancy after seeing another blistering attacking perfomance from PTT.

The new coaching team have got an improved working ethic out of the side and it has been some time since we scored a goal in the closing minutes of a game. Yet we are still conceding sloppy goals and making things difficult for ourselves and this will give Neath hope in the New Year's Day clash at the GenQuip.

PTT are expecting a big crowd for the home Festive fixture. Neath recorded their biggest home crowd and whist Caernarfon v Bangor had a four figure gate this was doubled by the Rhyl Prestayn game.  The Blue Skinned Beast expects the Neath fixture to be the biggest of the season and the Burns Road End to be in full voice for the derby encounter.

PT Blues caught up with Jonah, Reidy and lightning fast winger Drew Fahiya to see what they thought of the Mourners clash. This is what Blues Boss Mark Jones had to say 'I thought it was excellent entertainment and a proper football derby. I have to say I think that the Gnoll is a great stage to play the beautiful game. The boys responded to the challenge after a terrible start. We played some quality stuff knocking the ball around and playing with width and we got our just rewards with a goal. I felt we were a little unlucky not to go into the break without a lead.

'After getting ourselves back in front we have given another needless free kick away and Kerry Morgan has shown his class with a clinical strike. To be fair, derby games they can go either way and David Burrows has hit a rasping shot with only five minutes to go and it has flown past our post. The game was that close. What I was really pleased about was they way that both Liam McCreesh and Lee John have won the ball back leading up to the winner. That sort of effort is what we must have to gain continuity. I'm not sure or bothered whom had the final goal but it was a blue goal. Rosey is an awesome centre forward who deserved a brace and Drew Fahiya is creating so many chances. Drew's pace has got him 7 chances in the last two games.  He is only 20 and his goal tally will be in double figures soon, you mark my words.

'The support in Neath was fantastic, it really helped the players through the last twenty minutes of the game and it made a difference. It was really nice to see and hear the celebrations after the last goal and at the end of the match. The dressing room was buzzing but I have to say I have managed a few clubs and been involved in football a long time but without any shadow of doubt, this bunch has the worse taste in music I have ever come across - its awful. We are definatly going to have some Beatles by the end of the season.

'We have another good game to look forward to now. Neath will be right up for it. They know how close they were to winning the game and they will remain confident. PTT have never completed a festive derby DOUBLE in the WPL and that is another incentive for the boys to go out and finish the job. If we can keep the continuity going through this Xmas period the WPL table will have changed and things will be looking brighter for everyone at the club'.

Paul Reid is one of the most vocal coaches we have had at PTT and he is having a profound effect on the players as Creashie told us in last weeks news. PT Blues spoke to Paul as he was about to leave his parents house in Brum to go and watch the Swans away game in Birmingham. There was no split loyalties for Reidy as he was brought up a Villa fan. This was what he had to say 'I'm glad to be back at the club and in senior football once again. I have been working with Swansea's Centre of Excellence with the likes of Josh Pike and Alex Williams and I'm enjoying working with the kids. I said that I did not want to leave last time round in an interview with Afan FM's Hash. I was pushed out and I felt that that the role I played was not appreciated. Its good to be back and we have some unfinished buisness.

'I thought that the performance was good against Neath and we created enough chances to win it. We have just got to learn to tighten up at the back and to defend properly. We  will work on this but once the boys step over the white line it is down to them.

'I'm getting on with Mark, he knows the game and he has the dressing room  upbeat and we should have some good times ahead. Neath will be dangerous and if we switch off they could turn us over'.

PT Blues wanted to find out whose goal the winner really was. Was it Rosey's header or Drew's follow up volley? The WPL have given it to Rosey. We tried to contact the hitman but he was away at Chepstow races. We did however catch up with the 20 year old wing wonder from Barry - Drew Fahiya and he told us 'It was good game to play in and it was the right result. I feel that I am starting to settle at the club now and I am playing regularly. I have played with Mark before at Dinas Powys so he knows the problems I can cause defences. I'm enjoying playing in the WPL. Its a higher standard with better pitches and there is more atmosphere inside the grounds. Its quality hearing your name being sung during the game.

'I think that I have had a decent goals return at the Blues and I have scored about 10 goals in 12 starts in all competitions. I have got 5 in the WPL and I want to improve on that. I scored the winner against Neath 100%. It wouldn't have gone in if I had not got onto it'.

Up the Town Cheers Blues

'We are unbeatable'. BTOB

23.12.08The Blues put in the best home performance of the season against The New Saints on Saturday at the Genquip San Siro which ended in a credible goaless draw. Mark Jones, Paul Reid and Wayne Goodridge must have been delighted with the way their troops competed all over the pitch.  PTT won more headers, tackles and picked up more second ball than we have the rest of the season put together. One swallow does not make a summer but it felt like the old Port Talbot Town was back Saturday afternoon. It is certainly going to be interesting to see if that level of performance can be maintained during the festive derbies with that old foe Neath Athlectic.

Boxing Day has always been a big day for PTT in the WPL and this year is no different. The Mourners have long had aspirations of catching up with the Blues and they are desperate to get their first top flight win over us. They have  some quality old Blues like Richard French, Kerry Morgan, Steve Pockett,  Rob Folland but thankfully Chris Pridham will be banned for the derby games. The bus for the Gnoll was nearly full last Sunday and with us both on the verge of a relegation dogfight it should make for a cracking atmosphere in the home of Welsh rugby.

The Blue Skinned Beast website caught up with Mark Jones and the diminutive Liam McCreesh to pick up on the vibe in the dressing room after Saturday's performance and the battles ahead with Neath.

Jonah told us 'It was a smashing day on Saturday. The effort from all 14 players was really encouraging for the coaching staff and we all really throughly enjoyed. I had a good welcome from all the supporters and everyone seemed happy with the result. Fans are happy when the results are right. The workrate throughout the team was pleasing. We have an honest bunch of players and we will win more than we will lose. I don't like to single out indiviadual performances but if there has ever been a better save in the WPL than the one that Kristian Rogers made in the second half - I have not seen it. With a stopper like that in your side you always have a chance of getting something out of a game.

'Neath is going to be a good tussle. I have watched them a few times this season and they can play and battle and they would love to get one over on us. The players have set their own standards on Saturday and I will be looking for that same commitment and energy again against Neath. If we stay competitive we are in with a shout. I'm hoping that the fans will respond to the TNS performance and go over to the Gnoll like they went up to Jenner Park on a Friday night when I was in charge last time round. We had a memorable night and I would like that feel good factor to return to Port Talbot Town'.

Liam McCreesh has been on fire this season with his never say die attitude, his movement with and without the ball and is a big hit with the Blue supporters. We caught up with Creashie to find out the mood inside the camp and to find out more about the cross dressing antics that hit Wind Street on Sunday night this is what 'large heads' boy has to say 'Thought it was excellent on Saturday and I really enjoyed. That is the best we have played all season and the whole team fought for each other. We could have gone into the break with a sizeable lead. Blues were getting the ball out to the widemen and getting bodies in the box and they found it hard to cope. We were cutting them open time and time again. Myself, Rosey, Jonno, Drew - we all missed chances, we all held our hands up after the game. That's the way it goes in football sometimes.

'Even when they put us under some pressure towards the end of the game I was telling Rosey that we could nick it. We have so much pace on the counter I thought that they were playing into our hands but it was not to be. I thought that Martin Rose was outstanding on Saturday. Rosey is our first line of defence and his chasing down made our job so much easier in the middle and we were able to get on the ball and help the defence out.  Martin has a habit of making great defenders uneasy and he must be a nightmare to play against. He will be in amongst the goals again soon and I think it will be sooner than later.

'The new management have been great and the training has been a lot sharper. Reidy is on us right away and he tries to get us into matchday mode when we train. Its great to have a dugout that won't let any of the players go missing.

'Neath is something we are all looking forward to. We are close together in the WPL and they will want to catch us up and get a pyscological advantage by turning us over in the Gnoll. We must not let that happen. We have told all the boys from outside the area how much it means. I know that a lot of people are going over from the club and we will not let them down'.

We also asked Liam about the crazy players Xmas beano that  went from the club to Wind Street on Sunday he told us 'It was a blindin party. Everyone was looking good and we had loads of banter when we got over Swansea. Venus and Serena Williams were quality but I thought that Pamela Anderson stole the show. She was still making shapes on the dancefloor at stupid o'clock in the morning. We look forward to that do all year and it is a pity that some of the Cardiff players don't come down as they really don't know what they are missing. Bring on Boxing Day'.

Cheers Chaps - we will get the camera out for the players party next year.

Get over the Gnoll Boxing Day and bring a big tin of beans

12.12.08 Once again the Blues go in to a festive campaign with a different gaffer to the man that brought us through pre season. Nicky Tucker paid the price for poor league form and an ineffective summer. Tucks released his coach and the defence with the likes of McGibbon, Carl Evans, Paul Evans, Craig Hanford and Dylan Blain shown the door and we have consequently lost five home games in the WPL alone and we have only kept a single clean sheet in the WPL this season.

All we need is Dav came back as a caretaker and the bearded one brought his highly rated son Nick to help him. Dav's buisness commitments lead Chairman Eddie and the board to appoint an ole favourite as the new Blue Boss. Mark 'Jonah' Jones had the nod over candidates with great calibre like Tommy Morgan.

So Jonah is back and the 'Mayor of Grangetown's' appointment has lead to a wave of optimism ripping through the Genquip San Siro. Jonah brought some happy times to the club and lots of believe in his last tenure ( how can anyone forget that Friday night in Barry when Mark Dodds scored an absolute screamer against his hometown club to beat the reiging Champions at Jenner Park to take the Blues to the top of the League).

Jonah's immediate fight this time is with relegation and to put some believe into his belagured troops and the loyal supporters of the Blues.

The Unofficial Website caught up with the new main man and we asked him about being back at the club and the visit of TNS  Jonah told us 'Its lovely to be back at such a great club. The place has changed and the ground seems twice the size to when I first came here. The pitch, the clubhouse, the sponsor suite and the club shop are superb. The Gerald McCreesh Stand is triffic for the club and fitting for the man. I bought some seats when I was manager last time round and its brilliant that it is now such an asset to PTT.  I can see why Swansea City as so keen to use the facility and why it is regarded as one of the top semi pro grounds in south Wales nowadays.

'As much as all the changes that have taken place I have still bumped into the old faces like Big Simon Jones, Johnny Dawks and Colin Collins. They have all give me a good welcome and that means a lot as they are all decent football people and an integral part of the club.

' Paul Reid is man I am looking forward to working with and buildin up a good partnership. We got on right away. It was great to see the reaction of the players to Reidy and the mutual respect that they both had for each other. They were glad to have him back and Reidy has fitted in straight away.

'There has already been some tidy training sessions and their are some good footballers throughout the squad. I think that we could do with some more experianced League of Wales players and I will be looking to bring a few in the January window.

'There is a clean slate for each and every player and anyone whom can compete against TNS and stand up in the festive derbies with Neath will deserve to stay in my plans.

'There are no easy games in the WPL anymore. The fitness levels have been raised and there is quality in the league. Last weekend 's results with Rhyl losing to Cefn Druids, Llanelli to the Nomads and TNS going down against Airbus shows that anything can happen.

'TNS will be like a wounded animal coming down here on Saturday. They have lost back to back and its been a long time since they have lost 3 on a bike. TNS are a pro outfit and they will be desperate to get the show back on the road. They have been the most consistant side in the WPL since Barry left and they have helped raise the standard. Mike Harris, Ken McKenna, Stave Evans, Scott Ruscoe they will all go down in the history of the WPL and I respect them all for the way they flown the flag for the League.

'The Neath fixtures are something to look forward to. Port Talbot Town have the loudest supporters in the WPL when they are given something to shout about. I want to bring the feel good factor about and we will not let anyone who makes the trip to Neath down on Boxing Day that is for sure'.

'Bring Saturday on!'

Jonah is Back! BTOB

15.08.08This is surely the most promising season in the history of the Blues. The GenQuip Stadium has a new improved playing surface. We have a bigger, better, faster, stronger squad. The hardcore is growing, expectation is rising as is the profile. Blues have a new Macron kit which is sponsored by Crown Security and the clubshop tills have started to ring, season ticket sales are on the up and the magic Blue bus leaves Victoria Road in the morning and it will wind its way up to north Wales as we kick the season off with a very tough opening fixtue against  The New Saints.

Tucks has tried out many trialists and many combinations in pre season in a bid to get it right in the WPL. Are we going to be European bound at the start of next season only the next 9 months can tell. The Blue Skinned Beast has caught up with two of the Burns Road favourites in Lee John and Martin Rose as well as the Blues Boss Nicky Tucker. All 3 are optimistic and realistic about the challenge that lies ahead of them.

Tucks told us 'I am very much looking forward to the opener. This is what it is all about and why we work so hard in pre season. The results may not have gone well in the friendlies but we have started to get to where we want to be and we have make progress with each game. The squad is encouraging and we have gone through different options. It was disappointing to see the Evans boys go back to Lido and Dylan and Hanf going to Haverfordwest. We have made some quality new signings and I have been more than happy with Darren Davies who I think will thrive with his hometown Club. Jason Welsh is a great player whom can play in different positions. Jason has been diagnosed with diabetes and it has been no picnic for him to come to terms with it. I think that he will get back to his best in the next four to six weeks and we can rebuild his confidence. I reckon that the way he played against Merthyr will give him a boost. We have also been lucky enough to have added three Swansea players to our squad.

'We will be goig to TNS looing for at least a point and being able to go to Aber the following week with confidence. Evereyone is looking forward to Saturday and there is a good buzz in the dressing room. The support in Merthyr was great and I hope that the fans can play a massive role this season in bringing success to the football club'.

Lee John has been looking like the player of the last few seasons  in the friendlies and he has looked dangerous and composed on the ball and been a real threat. This could be Jonno's best season for the blues having not been hampered by injury or hindered by transfer speculation. Jonno is becoming one of the leaders in the dressing room and we asked him what he thought of our chances his season 'Its important that we get off to a good start and I'm really looking forward to what is very tough challenge up at TNS. We have a fit squad and we are starting to show form at the right time. Blues will have to keep everything tight, compact so we become hard to beat and frustrate them. We can trouble anyone going forward. So we will be in with a shout. I have trained in every pre season session so I feel good.

'It hard in some friendly games to find any rhythm with all the swapping and changing. Its going to be very tough to improve on our 4th place from last season. Rhyl, TNS and Llanelli have bigger budgets than PTT. But it is not all about budget. We have the hardcore support to boost the players on the pitch and do something special. I believe we will go on a good Cup run this year as we are well and truly capable of beating anyone on our day in a one off situation. Silverware is what we want and qualification for Europe.

'Its been a long time since we played in the Genquip and everyone wants to get back and play there again. I hope that the support is good again this season. I reckon the supporters have a major part to play in driving us to success.

'There is a a good feeling in the dressing room and the new boys have settled. I think that what we need is a good night out in Swansea as a group. The Xmas party will be class again'.

Martin Rose seems to be getting better the longer he stays at the Blues and the hitman is in the mood for hitting the back of the net this season. Rosey is looking better faster stronger in 08/09 and we caught up with our favourite son of Pompey ' I can't wait for it to all kick off now. I feel fine and I'm raring to go. I want to hit at least 30 goals in all competitions this season. I'm glad we are going to TNS right away and I believe that we can match them. Its good that we have the three Swansea players and It will keep the competiton for places tight, which will in turn improve performances. We have got a smart new coach and he seems a decent fella. We have been doing a lot of ball work in training and I think that we will try and get it down on the deck and play some expansive football which should be good to watch. Hope that is a few Blues making the trip to TNS as I am going to try and score a goal or two for them'.

Up the Town ! Allez Allez

TNS Bring them on (7/1 the Bues win - got to be worth a flutter)

01.06.08

Its another hectic pre season at the Blues. Nicky Tucker has been busy adding to his squad and making changes in the backroom staff. The tempstous Paul Reid has left and in comes a highly regarded coach Matthew Bishop. On the playing side Tucks as signed left back Darren Davies from Merthyr and centre forward Jason Welsh from Swindon Supermarine. Virtually all of the squad from last season has re signed and we are hoping the likes of Dylan and Krissie Edwards will be sealed this week. Tucks is also hoping to make room for Paul Evans. Its all happening and that is without mentioning Tucks badges and the pitch improvents inside the Remax San Siro.

This is what the blue boss told us when we got up with him on the first day of June 'We can now confirm that we have signed both Jason Welsh and Darren Davies.  Darren is a player that I have been familiar with for a long time. I have seen a lot of him at Merthyr this season. He is 29 year old and brings a lot of experiance with him.  He is strong, clever on the ball and he knows how to bring others into play. He has still got a good 3 or 4 years left in him.  Darren plays on the left side and he will bring experiance to the left flank for us.  Darren's family are  from the Port Talbot area - and his father Dai is well thought of in football circles.  Darren is a good signing for PTT.

'Jason is from Cwmbran. I know the club have tried to sign him in the past. I tried to sign him when I was down Llanelli. Jason played in the proper old Cwmbran side. He is built similar to Martin rose and I think they will compliment each other. He has been playing in the English League with Merthyr and Glouster. I expect him to get between 15 and 20 goals this season. He is a solid player whom holds the ball up well. We hope to be able to announce another two signings shortly. That along with the other player resigning will give us the options to improve and of course qualify for Europe.

'This is a big ask but the target for the season. PTT did well to finish 4 th last season, it could easily have been 7th. But we must try and push on. Ithink there will be people who expect good things from us this season and rightly so. We go a good squad, spirit, support, groung and staff. We certainly have the ambition.

'I am sorry to see Paul Reid go. He has done a terrific job. But this is my first full season and i want to take the club in a new direction. Mattew Bishop is an excellent coach who possesses a pro licence. I have seen his sessions up close and he is tactically aware. He has worked as a coach with Cwmbran in the past and he played for Bangor City and Aberystwyth in the Welsh Prem. I am looking forward to workin with him and am sure he will settle with the club.

'I really enjoyed my first season as I have said before  and the challenge ahead is a big one for everyone on board'.

Up the Town Allez Allez

22.02.08 Port Talbot Town pulled off a miraculous win over Caersws last Saturday. The Blues won the game despite playing the entire 2nd half with 9 men after both Gareth Phillips and Matthew Thompson had their matching orders. PTT also conceded a penalty just after the first sending off put we pulled the rabbit out of the hat in a gutsy performance which shows that we really do mean buisness this season. Tucker has to rally his troops for the difficult journey to north west Wales as we visit Bangor City for a 5th V 6th six pointer.

The players are travelling up north today as the club try to prepare for the game as professionally as possible by staying in a hotel. PT Blues gives full credit to Chairman Eddie and his friends for this preparation as a result tomorrow will seriously put us in the frame for the 4th spot that is up for grabs and could provide the excitement of a European Tour.

Welsh football's number 1 website has caught up with Blues Boss Nicky Tucker, midfield dynamo Dylan Blain and sponsors man of the match James Bergin and asked them about the Caersws win and the trip to Bangor.

Tucks told us 'I was delighted by the character shown by the players whom remained on the field against Caersws. I think that Tommo's red was justified but Gareth Phillips won the ball and and it did not merit anything more than a yellow.  Discipline could have cost us again, we were playing really well and dominating the game and we could have been compromised.

'The game was made for Dylan Blain and I think he covered every blade of grass during the match. He followed up from his excellent finish against Aberystwyth to get another brace and I am pleased for him. James Bergin was outstanding and I think that he was a threat throughout the game and he has set up two of our goals. His run for the third goal and the composure to pick out Dylan was something else.

'Everyone contributed to the cause and the buzz in the dressing room and throughout the club is getting better. The support helped the players through the game and I hope that can continue in Bangor City. It is going to be difficult in Farrar Road. Neville Powell has done a terrific job in re-building the side. They have had an excellent season so far, getting to the League Cup Semi, still in the Welsh Cup and contending in the WPL. It is a proper football club and Farrar Road has a rich history. It is one of my favourite grounds in the WPL and the sort of stage the players should be playing on. We need to keep the unbeaten run going.

'I am very fortunate that the club has backed the squad by putting us up in a Hotel on Friday night. It is the best preparation for the contest. It wil help us focus and get switched on to the gameplan and we should not have any tired legs.

'Kyle Shepard is still out, Lee Surman is doubtful with concussion and Lee John is 50/50. Tommo and Gazza are out with suspension. The run has set this game up as a significant match. Its a good challenge for everyone and this is why we want to compete in the Welsh Prem. We shall do our best'.

Dylan Blain has been a very popular figure in the Remax San Siro these past two seasons and the fact that he resisted moves in the January window has endeared him further to the Burns Road. Blainey was put back on the bench for the Aber game but came on, run his socks off and got a quality goal  that sealed the win. He started against Caersws and hit a brace and this is what he had to say 'It was a quality win in the circumstances. I was pleased to start and it was even better to get a couple of goals. The belief is there in the squad now. When I got to Europe with Haverfordwest we went to places like Bangor and won. By beating the teams in and aroud us we will get an edge. I think that everyone is up for the game. I'm pleased that we are going up the night before as we can have a little get together on Friday night, have a lie in and no tired legs when it comes to 2.30 Saturday afternoon. I hope a few fans can travel mind as the support has been great in the last few games and it makes a difference'.

James Bergin the 18 year pld Swansea player joined us on loan in the January window. He hit a post direct from a corner against Aber and put in some scintillating runs against Caersws. The youngster was born in Derby but brought up in Nottingham. James signed forms for Derby County before joining the Swans. His start at PTT has been stunning and he promises to make a similar impact as Kerry Morgan. James is currently staying in digs in Swansea and we spoke to him about his experience at the Blues.  'I feel that I have settled well at the club and I have enjoyed training and the two games that I have been involved in. It has been nice that I have been allowed to run at defenders as that's what I like doing. I want to continue going down the line and providing goals. I'm looking forward to Saturday's game. I have never been to north Wales before and I hope to get another start'.

Cheers Chaps

Allez Allez Port Talbot Town FC

13.02.08 The Blue Skinned Beast website has spoken to Blues boss Nicky Tucker, hitman Martin Rose and flying wing back Mark McGibbon about the glorious fightback against Aberystwyth and the challenge of relegation haunted Caersws at the Remax San Siro this coming Saturday.

For those of you who have been living in a cardboard box since last Friday night  - PTT recorded a 4-2 away victory over Aber at Park Avenue after being 2-1 down. The Dias Stand went ballistic with the 'Allez Allez Port Talbot Town FC' as the Blues put on an assured display from all the squad involved in the fixture. PTT enjoyed goals from Rosey, Jonno, Hanf (1st in senior football) and Dylan. There was an air of optimism in the Blue air as the reality that we are climbing the table hit home - what will happen between know and the end of the season you can help decide.

Tucks told us 'Its all about winning football matches. Victory gives confidence and believe. I was really pleased with the character shown in the victory after conceding goals either side of half time. The Blues were dominant in the last 40 mins of the game. The travelling support is a massive plus for the players. It was commented on after the game and in training on Tuesday night.Ii think the boys appreciation was clear when they clapped the supporters at the end of the game.

'It feels that the dressing room is starting to believe that we can go and win football games. Caersws on Saturday is a very important game and we want to keep the winning run going. They are fighting for their WPL status and have just had a massive boost in their surprise victory over Bangor City. They will come hoping for a point and will get plenty of bodies behind the ball. It is up to us to stick to our task and see out our objective. The WPL table is starting to look very interesting to PTT. With the fixtures on Saturday some clubs are guaranteed to slip up and we have to make sure that its is not us.

'On Saturday, Kyle Shepard is out with a thigh strain, Lee John and Scott Barrow are both 50/50. They will both be available for the Bangor City game and neither are long term worries. I was very pleased with James Bergam's debut performance and he is pushing for a start on Saturday. Carl Evans has been impressive in training and seems to be enjoying his football. If Carl fulfills his potential he is going to one hell of a player for PTT.

'The squad is coming together and there is competition for places. I hope to be achieve things with this club, these players and the supporters over the next 3 seasons. Its a challenge I am really enjoying and of course everything is easier when we are winning and that is what we nmust endeavour to do on Saturday'.

Hitman Martin Rose is edging closer to his 20 goal WPL target with goals in his last two games this is what Rosey had to ay 'Everybody that has played up front has been decent performances this season. I just want to play score goals and help the team win. Caersws will be difficult as they have just beaten Bangor ands they will want to go on a run and cause another shock.  Blues have to play as we have been with everyone fighting for each other.  There are competition for places at the moment and that can only be good for the team. This is now a really strong squad and there is no room for complacancy. The boys have got to play well or they will be replaced.

'Friday was one of the best games that I have played in. We had brilliant support, it was absolutely fantastic  It felt like a home game and the boys reacted to it. To comeback from 2-1 down against a good side demonstates that the believe is there. It was a massive result. We are only 5 points behind Bangor City with a game in hand. I'm really up for Saturday and I predict that we can climb the table'.

PT Blues also spoke to 28 year old right back Mark McGibbon this is what soth London Flyer told us 'I feel  I have settled in really well at the club. Tucks has been triffic and I'm with a good bunch of boys. I'm enjoying my time at the club and it was excellent last Friday. The travelling back and fo Dulwich and Port talbot is not to bad as it is on the south circular to the M4 which takes me straight to Port Talbot.

'i have been carring a knock from Friday. I have been training with south London Academy today and it feels ok and I should be OK for the Caersws  game'.

06.02.08PT BLues have spoken to Nicky Tucker for the first time. Tucks tells us what he thinks of the Blues, his new signings, the past couple of games, the game against Aberystwyth and the support at the club.Tucker is beginning to generate excitment at the club going into this Fridays game after back to back wins and some shrewd work in the transfer window. Nicky has succeeded where even Dav and Pennock failed in securing the services of highly rated defender Carl Evans. Tucks has also identified the obvious talent of Mark McGibbon, the shrewd signing of Paul Evans and will introduce another player on the Swans books to the WPL with the loan of James Burgin for the rest of the  season.

Can the ghost of Bond and Morgan be put to bed as they pit their wits in a Liga of Spain? Time will only tell, the Blues are sixth and face key games a gainst the likes of Aber, Caersws and Bangor in the month of Febuary? PT Blues are right behind the boys in our joint quest for glory. This is what the new Blues boss had to say 'I had been keeping an eye on PTT for a while and moitoring the progress at the club. I admired the imporvements in the facilities, squad and results and always believed that given a chance I could take it to the next level. I have tried to improve the squad and I would like to claim a top three finish. Its a club with stability and lots of potential.

'I have already arrived at the stage where I am facing some genuine positive selection problems. Blues have a good strong squad and I believe everyone will play their part between now and the end of the season as the squad is rotated. Its great to have personel to select. Everyone bar Lee Surman is available on Friday night. Reeso and Gazza have both come through their injuries.

'The last two wins have been really pleasing. Especially the TNS game. Mostly when you scalp a top team, you ride your luck and scratch a win but against TNS this was not the case we deserved the three points. Blues had a gameplan and it was executed. It was a great performance that was rewarded with an apprpopriate result.

'Cefn Druids was a different story. The pitch was very poor and it was not a great performance as things were not pretty. But we did what we had to do and we came away with three points which maintained our position in the WPL.

'I must say that the support in the TNS game was superb. I had heard before that Port Talbot could get good support and it brought something extra out of the players on the day. Blues have got a very impressive hardcore of support and it would be nice to see that swollen with more numbers.

'Aber is going to be a very difficult game on Friday night. They have been playing some great football lately thou things have not gone entirely their way. We are however going up there full of confidence and we are definatly going up there to get something out of the game'.

PT Blues asked Nicky to tell us a little about the new signings and this is what he said 'Mark McGibbon is a very talented right back whom  I spotted whilst with Dinas Powys. Mark was the stand out player on the pitch and had star quality. We hope to tie Mark down to a contract in the next couple of weeks so we can bring him on over the next 18 months. Mark is enjoying the challenge very much. He is still living in London and we hope to soon have him staying here in the week so that he can train with the boys. He gives us a totally different option going forward with his quick athlectic play.

'Paul Evans came in for cover for Reeso whilst he was out and Serms was suspended. Evo's experiance has shone through. Hopefully we can persuade him to stay. He knows this area and being a player who has only been with one club he is enjoying the challenge of PTT.

'I have seen Carl Evans play on a number of ocassions and he has always been impressive. Again Carl has only played for the Lido so this is going to a good challenge for him. Carl has a lot to learn and I think he is going to be an excellent signing for the future.

'James Burgin is on loan from the Swans till the end of the season. He has been recommended by several people  as a promising left back. He has ability and is not unsimilar to Mark in that the is a totally different option going forward for us. James is quick and could make a difference in games'.

Cheers Tucks, we are sure you can bring the best out of this squad.

PT Blues have also spoken to the flying winger Lee John who tore apart TNS in our last home game. Jonno told us 'The TNS game was really enjoyable and a boost to the dressing rooms confidence after Airbus. We got the result up in Druids  but without wanting to make excuses the pitch was shocking which did not suit our game.

'The new boys that have come in after done well and brought something new to the party. Evo has been excellent at the back and two clean sheets speaks for itself. Pual deserves to keep his play and his communication on the pitch is something else.

'We are going to Aber confident and if we get something out of the game we can reassess out WPL position, but to get anywhere we really do have to start going on a run sooner than later. The support against TNS was quality and much appeciated it. There were 30 or 40 hardcore  in the stand and with the  horns, trumpets, Drums and flags it makes a big difference on the pitch. We shall try and give you all more to shout about in the next few weeks'.

Cheers Jonno Up the Town

Allez Allez

25.01.08 Its been a crazy few months at the Blues full of highs, lows, change and football. We are out of the Welsh Cup after conceding a late goal in Rhyl, we were then a goal to the good in the Premier Cup but conceded late against the old Gold, losing another in extra time so we are left in no Cups. Kerry Morgan suffered heavy handed treatment in both games and despite vociferous appeals to both referees to protect him from the fans Kerry ended up with a broken collarbone and has been out of action since November. Tony Pennock resigned after his second Cup defeat in two days. Paul Reid and Buzza were caretaker managers and went about their jobs well with the Blues clocking some points in the WPL. Some high profile names came in for the managers vacancy and Eddie whitlled down the shortlist to Dave Hughes and Nicky Tucker. Nicky Tucker was announced as the new manager after teenager Sam Baker had given us a  last minute winner over Connah's Quay Nomads.

Blues lost our unbeaten home record against Rhyl but then we took 4 points from Neath in the festive derbies. Chad scored a cracker in Llandarcy and Scott Barrow who was over looked in the Pennock reign as been in sensational form putting in MOTM displays, reguarly scoring and also getting the same sort of treatment as Kerry Morgan from the opposition.

Dylan Blain was wanted by several clubs after the versatile midfield player was left on the bench. Blain's energy is a bit hit with this websites regulars, Burns Road Enders and Blues fans in general so it was recieved well that Dylan showed loyalty and decided to fight for his place.

Tucker has been busy in the transfer window. Neath would not let us talk to Pockett, Bryntirion would not let us speak to Robbie Walters, Mark McGibbon has come in as is looking good. Reeso became a Blue Centurion  but will be out for six weeks due to an operation.  A Major headache in defence we all thought but Eddie and Tucker came up with a fantastic solution when they managed to persuade popular ex Lido captain and coach Paul Evans to put his boots back on. Blues came back down to earth with a lousy loss in Airbus and then we had to face the Champions TNS at the Remax.

Evo makes his debut, Dylan starts on home turf, McGibbon starts, LDV is left back Rosey and Hanf are on the bench, McCressh and Gazza are suspeneded. Its wet and we are against the odds with our backs to the wall. The Big Drum is fixed, the trumpet is loud and clear the Burns Road End have moved in to the Stand. Evo is winning defensive headers, McGibbon is winning everything. Chad is battling, Baz is just Baz, Surman will be getting anothor approach from Llanelli on this form, Dylan is all over the place and Lee John looks like he is back to last seasons form and is getting in behind The New Saints. Evo rattles the crossbar with a mighty header and the McCreesh stand starts to bounce. Its like the days of Dav by half time. After 70 minutes Lee John gets behind the defence and 'Hello' we have gone a goal up  and the Blues are Singing 'Allez, allez, Port Talbot Town FC' for the rest of the game.  Blues win and we are back into sixth place. Can we get to Europe? Well lets not get ahead of ourselves. Can we beat the Druids away on Saturday is the big question. Especially with Chad Bond and Kerry Morgan recalled by Swansea and heading out to Spain for a loan deal.

We spoke to Paul Evans and Dylan Blain ahead of the trip up north. Evo told us why he has crossed over the road and Dylan why he stayed.

Evo told us 'I would never have come unless I was 100% commited. I'm here untill Reeso recovers and I expect to be still involved when we go to Aber. My debut was great to be honest. The banter in the dressing room was light hearted and I was made to feel at home right away. We were given a gameplan and we stuck to it. We kept our discipline and our shape. Blues denied TNS good possesesion in our half and we broke with Jonno's pace when we could.

'I thought the boys at the back were excellent. Mark was good, Serms and Leight De Vulgt. Blues have got quality players all round. Rosey, Hanf and Baker on the bench shows that we have a strong squad. With Gazza, Liam and Reeso to comeback it shows the depth of the squad. Whast we have to do is gain consistancy and not drop sloppy points.

'I think that we deserved ther win. Kristian only had 1 save to make. There was a good buzz and an excellent atmosphere in the Remax - my mates Phil and Greg both enjoyed the game.

'I plan to stay with the club until Reeso comes back. My girlfriend is expecting our baby in three weeks, so we will review the situation then but I 'll give it 100% whilst I'm here'.

Dylan Blain has been the subject of much interest in the January window. Several other WPL clubs came in for the energetic midfield player and despite talking with them Blainey has decided to stay with the Blues - who says there is no more loyalty in football?

This is what the Welsh speaker had to tell us 'There were a lot of reasons why I wanted to stay. I really enjoy it at the club and I want to fight for my place but when I was not playing it was frustrating. I have spoken to Nicky and he has told me that I am in his plans, so it was not a difficult choice to make. I played against TNS and hopefully I showed what I could do.

'The TNS game was a great performance from the Blues. There was a good buzz in the ground - what we have not had for a while. It makes a hell of a difference I can tell you, especially when you have made a 30 or 40 yard run and you have to get back. It keeps you on your toes when you hear the noise.

'I thought the debutants did well. Mark is really quick and is good going forward as well. Evo is really strong aerially and he  communicates so well. The longer we held out, the more we grew in confidence and we knew that we could do something. They kept the ball well without hurting us and when they started shunting it long they played to our strengths. We hoped to prey on any mistake and that is what Lee John did once again.

'It was a great win but now we have to master consistancy and a win in Cefn Druids would be a good start and would set up a big match with Aber'.

Cheers Boys, lets smash the Druids

Allez Allez - Port Talbot Town FC

1.11.07Read all about it Guys, its November 07 and the next week is going to be a cracker. Will the Blues be on Fire or will our Cup dreams go up in smoke? It has been a tempestous week after our house got burnt down by the Turks and we went racked up a calamitous record defeat in Stebo last Friday. 8 zip and two sent off in the south west derby was yesterday's story but now it is all about bounceback ability as we head up to the north coast to face Sunny Rhyl on their home patch in the
